How can i get rid of cockroaches in my apartment?

Question:I have roches in my appartment and they are driving me crazy. The super has sprayed the appartment and it did not work, what else can i do or use.

Answers:
Clean and dry all the baseboards, inside closets and cabinets too. Using 20 Mule Team Borax (not Borateem), and a turkey baster, run a line of powder along the baseboards, under the sinks, in all the closets, around doors and in the carpet. Vacuum the carpet. It will take up to a week, but it will get rid of them.

MOVE!!!
If you are in the United States get Bengal roach spray,
it is about 9 to 11 bucks a can--but really works-- I saw no busg for months and months after I sprayed!!
Good Luck--in the south -Ace Hardware store carries it.
clean up thoroughly. Never leave food out. Put all your dry food in ziplock bags and tuppeware. Use traps then if it doesn't get better and the super won't help, call the housing board and find out your rights.
Notify your landlord and have them fumigate your place...
That's why you pay rent. If that doesn't work and it wont unless you fumigate all your surrounding apartments. I would just move out.
Go out and get the roach motels for Large and small roaches that say on the box that the roaches will carry the food back to the nest, which will kill all of the roaches. They seem to work pretty well for me, and other people Ive talked to. I think they are made by combat and/or Raid.
I'd get out the phonebook and call somebody.
Request the management to take further measures to eliminate the problem. Demand the problem be solved or you will put your rental payments into an "escrow" account.

You will still have to pay your rent as agreed in your lease & on time. BUT the landlord will not be able to collect the rent until the problem has been solved.

Document the sightings with pics, and record phone calls to the landlord. If recording phone calls to the landlord you must inform him that your are in fact recording the call.

By putting the rent due into escrow you cannot be evicted for non-payment of rent. And the landlord cannot get his money until problem is solved.

Hope this helps,

Dave
If it was me, id leave them alone. They're just trying to live their life. I'm sorry but i dont support the killing of anything no matter how small.
