Window sill mold?

Question:Every year I notice a red powder on my window sill that is in the form of a small mound. It is very powdery but cleans up easily. This morning I woke up to find a red pile on my window sill, but it was not powdery. It was the size of a small peanut and moist and very red. I took it off the sill, feeling very disgusted, and flushed it down the toilet and wiped the area clean. Is there anyone here who would know what this substance would be? A mold possibly? I am not sure and am at a complete loss as to what it would be.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

I do not know where you live but there are spiders that lay reddish colored eggs. I have see them look like a reddish powder before.
