You musta missed the news! Bees are becoming an endangered species. They are dieing and the reason has yet to be established. Please do not kill them. Have them removed. Call your local zoo. They should be able to give you the number of a bee grower in your area.
If the bees die out, then so will man., as they are the main pollinators for fruits and veggies. Scientists believe that human population could only survive about 4 years without bees!
I would ask the same person that removes the bees how to handle the yellow jackets.

You can buy a spray that wll freeze them, but you have to wait till night when they are all in the nest.
Yellow jacket spray should kill both types. They also have yellow jacket traps to attract yellow jackets who dare to fly into your yard. Like someone has already said, if wood bees are pollinators, don't kill them.
