When building a 4 wire barbed wire fence for cattle, how far apart should I put the T posts?

Question:

Answers:
After building many livestock fences, I've found that ten feet is a good distance. However, being a six footer the distance is closer to nine feet. Three equal strides. By the way, put a peeler core or wood post in every five T-posts.

depends on the size of the area you are fencing, but 20 feet is standatd for average field
