What temperature should I leave my air on?

Question:I live in a one bedroom apartment - I am going out of town for two months - from mid May to midJuly. I live in the south, so it will get hot while I am gone. What should I leave the thermostat set at so that I can minimize my bill and allow my apartment to be ventilated and not stink when I get home?

Answers:
If you will be gone for 2 mo, it will smell when you get back anyway. You should have a friend come over and turn on the fan and open the windows once a week. To save money you should just turn it off while your gone, if you insist on having it on find a medium temp like 74 degrees and keep the fan on auto. Have fun on your trip.

For two months, i'd turn it completely off. Unless you leave dishes in your sink or forget to flush the toilet, you won't have a bit of a stink when you get back, just lower bills.
Save yourself some money and keep it off. Unless you have animals then I would keep it at 80 degrees.
My electricity providerer suggests 24 degrees am in Australia so thats centigrade.!
We leave ours on 78 to feel comfortable but not run up our bill.
If you have pets 75. If you don't have pets then 80.
