How can I successfully graft two fruit trees together?

Question:I know that it's a bit of a lost art, but my relatives constantly did it and I'd love to try. When my dad tried nothing happened.

Answers:
There are several grafting methods. Get an Ortho book from the local nursery on grafting fruit trees. It would take an awful long time for me to explain to you how to do the different ways of grafting. And I don't have pictures for examples. Good Luck
