What kind of Spider is this in Maine?
Question:I've looked at just about every website I could find and this spider wasn't in any of the photos.
It's about 2" in diameter including the legs
Flat to the surface.
Black in color
with white rings around the legs.
I have only seen 2 in my life like this and they are in my storage shed.
one last year which I managed to kill and never thought anymore about it.
And this year I have another
It seems to be very fast and crawls between the 2x4s to get away.
Does anyone have any idea..

if you where in Australia i would guess a type of huntsman..but i have no idea over your side of the world,but most pest controller are quite helpful (at less here they are)i would call a local company and they should be able to identify it for you.especially if you catch it an can show them
Hard to say for sure without a picture, but it could be a funnel-web spider (http://bugguide.net/node/view/37099). If you're able to snap a picture of the spider, you could submit it to whatsthatbug.com or bugguide.net. Both are excellent resources for researching bugs.
