How would I safe-guard my home from wasps?

Question:My front door doesn't fit the frame exactly. I cannot replace the door because I'm a renter. Wasps keep finding their way under the door. Does anyone have suggestions about natural repellents that I can place on or near my door to keep them away? I live in a townhome if that helps.

Answers:
I think you should probably demand that your landlord fix the door. It's obviously not up to building code standards if the door doesn't fit the frame and you shouldn't have to pay to live in a house that's not up to code.

Until you get the door fixed, get a paper bag, fill it with tissue paper or something so it keeps its shape, and hang it near the door. Wasps will see it, think its a nest of enemy wasps, and stay away.

Duct tape is the answer to nearly everything. simply duct tape a strip across the bottom of the door of something that is flexible and will effective seal the bottom of the door. It should be close enough to the bottom to seal but still allow the door to swing . You could take two pieces of duct tape the width of the door and put them together as the seal then use ductape to hold it in place. The tape comes in all colors so you could get some that is a reasonable color match. Of course the landlord should seal it with a piece of weather strip.
