How much does it cost to live in a trailer park?

Question:I'm not talking about going on vacation, I'm talking about for 8 months while attending college in Chicago. How bad is it--is it dangerous. How much does it cost--be as detailed as possible.

dangerous?? that depends on the area and the people who live in it..can't help you in that dept. good idea though would be to drive through one you might be interested in and look at the homes and properties...are they well maintained...talk to some of the owners and get their input.
as for costs that also depends.you can either buy the land in the mobile home park or you rent it it depends on the community.here is a breakdown of what we pay in south eastern WI so it will help you somewhat...
mortgage on the home $300, lot rent $360, mobile home taxes $40, homeowners insurance $35, water and sewer $40, electric and gas $150...all the previously listed costs are per month.then you have your incidentals.lawn maintenance, improvement costs, unexpected costs such as blown pipes in the winter because the heat tape decided to give out .$800 if that would happen...think of everything! now another thought is... are you buying this mobile home? they decrease in value just like a car unfortunately and when you want to sell you will have a hard time getting rid of it...the resale on these homes is hard.not only because of the reputation others may have...which is false by the way. a lot of times most people can not get into a mobile home park because they do not have good credit...
