Is it necessary to tip a floor installer?

Question:We are having a Home Depot installer coming in to install wood floors, do we need to tip them?

Answers:
I don't think it's necessary. But if they do a really good job, work really fast, or are particularly friendly, then it would be a nice gesture.

I wouldn't think so, but if they are doing future work for you, maybe it would be a good gesture.
No they don't need to be tipped. They overcharge on labor most of the time. Best way to thank them is just to say thank you.
I wouldn't have thought it to be obligatory, I'm sure they charge an hourly labour fee; however, everbody appreciates a tip?
i think were becoming a world of tippers, when someone does there job and gets paid for it, whats the point of tipping, personally i dont tip anyone and if i was the person serving me i wouldnt expect a tip anyway. i know i sound stingy but i stopped tipping when everyone began to expect it!
Do you think that they get paid enough? And how much did you have to pay them to install the floor? Average those out to get your answer.
No -- he gets paid.
