I know people that reycle drift wood & turn it into art works (& they have made some serious moneys from certain peices)!
people sell shells and stuff all the time but you could always sell your time and experience and throw thedriftwood in for free. its a way round it.
if theres a market you can sell good luck
Technically you could be prosecuted under the Marine Shipping Act 1995. Have a look at the article explaining the role of the Receiver of the Wreck at http://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/39_marin...
I lived on the water most of my life and I have found a way to sell drift wood I made nortical peaces you can take 3 branches and wrap rope around them to make a piling effect your going to have to buy little seaguls to glue onto it or go to a fishing shop and pick up a small net so you can drap it over what ever you make I made from pilings to book ends collect shells too you will need them to liven up the seen,
you can sell it as no one has any claims of salvage on it
