How to mend a shawl with a couple of holes?

Question:I'm talkng about a shawl that is about 50 years old. It has two holes made by some creatures that slipped into the drawer in which it was kept. Who can ideally mend these holes? Owner based in San Antonio, Texas but with friends in India who can help. Any contact information of people who can mend the shawl will be appreciated. Thanks!

Answers:
You don't mention what kind of shawl. If it is woven, look in the phone book under reweavers. Ask to see samples of their work before leaving it with them. If it is knitted look up specialty knit repairers or call knitt stores and get names of people they recomend.

If these don't help, add more information to your question about the type of shawl.

If it is a crocheted shawl or knitted, you might check with nursing homes around the area and find someone that can do it and could use the extra money.
