I'm a firefighter and there have been many house fires that have been started by plug-in types of air fresheners. I don't trust any of them.

Hello Sina, I would avoid smelling anything in the way of aerosol, chemical cleaners or scented plug-ins. Anything that you take into your body, whether by food or by air, eventually gets sifted through the liver, Chemicals can damage the liver. The reason why I know this is because my father died of cirrhosis a year and a half ago. Not many people know that the pollution and chemicals that we take into the body unawares eventually lead to the degradation of the liver.

Additional: please note that there are many causes of cirrhosis. Inhaling toxic (chemical) substances is just one of them.
