Good luck!

Don,t know about mozzies but flies hate it.
I have not heard of mint repelling mosquitoes, but I use a variety of scented geranium called "citronella," Pelargonium citrosum , and lemon thyme, Thymus citriodorus. Their leaves, crushed, will provide some protection from mosquitoes.

The citronella variety of scented geraniums has a pleasant scent of citrus and spice. It's difficult to explain. Lemon thyme has a spicy lemon scent.

Scented geraniums are native to the South, and do not winter over as does lemon thyme.

I have been using these for many years. The geraniums do not have flowers, but have nice bright green leaves. I bring the geraniums in during the colder months, and clip them back, pot them and give them to friends and co-workers. People love the sight of them, and the pleasant aroma.

The lemon thyme is in the front and back garden, near the perimiter of my house, and winters over fairly well.
