A question about my chilli plants..?
Question:All the chillis are yellow but they wont turn red and a couple are shrivelling up. I recently killed a load of them green bugs with soapy water, could I have overdone it with the soapy water? Can it kill the plant or stop the ripening process? Or is it possible that these chillis simply dont go red and I should pick them now?

There are yellow chilis - don't you know which type you bought/sowed?
How much soap did you use - it could have an effect if used in a strong enough solution - and what type of soap was it? You would normally use a very weak solution in a spray - although removing them by hand is actually more effective on a plant as small as a chili!
There are yellow varieties of chillies and you may have one of them. They can be eaten even when green anyway. They are also prone and sensitive to diseases and the green flies may have infected them. Best to take what you can now.
pick them now if they are red they will turn off the vine put them in a paper bag and watch them for a week
Not all chiles are red. There are yellow chiles, and you may have them. It is ok to pick them and use. In my garden I currently have varieties of chile that are red, purple, and yellow.
