Ants attacking!!!?
Question:I live in florida and moved into this house which is cleaned spottless yet I have little tiny ants everywhere its so bad that I cant leave a can of soda out on my coffee table or my cupboards are crawling with them no matter what I clean with or ant killer I buy. We even had professionals spay all around the house outside they are everywhere and making my life hell. our neighbor to the right has lived with ants since they bought there home 6 years ago any solutions beside sell our home?

Most times spraying is done around the perimeter of the house, inside and out. The problem is that that's not always where they are. I renovated a room with a low cathedral,(less than 10 feet high), and found them in the wood of the roof rafters. Their nest was burrowed into a piece of wood about 10 feet of the ground. So as you can see spraying the ground outside and the floor inside won't always do it. You may have to gut the house, spray ALL the wood then re-close. I got lucky they were only in the ceiling in the one room. All the other rooms they were coming up from the basement. I now spray once a year and haven't seen them in the house for 2 years now.

They also love dampness, so if you know where water might be getting in, find a way to stop the moisture. That's why they were in my basement. I had water coming in during heavy rains. Drying the area out will also deter them from staying.
I had a professional spray inside and then he put granules all around the house outside, including at the doorways. That worked, but only for that year.
If it hasn't been 60 days, they should have had a guarantee to come out and treat again. Maybe check with them. Or, maybe it is that they will treat again within 60 days for half the price.
I also use Ortho Max Bug B Gone granules and sprinkle them all around the house and then wet it. That works for a while.
I know it is irritating.
Ive heard that you should sprinkle pepper on the cracks of your walls and counter tops. pretty much sprinkle it everywhere.
There's always the option of having someone come spray. My mother used to sprinkle comet around the outside of her house, where they'd usually trail from. Also, we had some in o9ur kitchen that drove us NUTS and couldn't find anything to work until my boyfriend heard about this gel-like trap called :Terro. The ants take it and bring it back to the nest. Within days, they were gone. I LOVED it! And the ants were completely attracted to it. They are about 5-6 dollars. Ants LOVE it and take it back to nest- queen killed and ants die in nest. They really do disappear for a long time.
It comes in liquid form- two ways.
Old way: pour liquid onto paper squares provided and ants attracted to the poison liquid.
New Method: which is great. Terro now also sold in a pack of several little tiny clear plastic molded boxes- you snip off the edge and ants go itno the box- this is safer for pets/kids etc.
I used this in Southern California where ants are everywhere and they infested kitchen even tho clean... they found what they were looking for... in trash... a small spill, etc.
I used over a period of 2 days and they have not returned yet...it has been two months. I love the handy little containor. I have even placed it in the outdoor trash and under upside down empty planter pots.

You will not be disappointed at all. I suggest keep using and kill all of the ants around your home... get neighbors to do the same. It is way less expensive than an exterminator- 100% works, and no sprayed chemicals around.
