Why dont they put alarms on fridge freezers so that you nkow they have been turned off ??by accident or power?

they do have them you just have to look for them and i think lowes or sears my have them were thy beat if somethings wrong

This is a great idea! They could work on the same concept as a smoke alarm... it would assumably have to operate on battery power. A flashing light or annoying buzz (like a dryer). Someone should suggest this to the manufacturers. I could have used one of them a year ago... eeewwwww, what a mess!
Dunno about alarms, but my mate once put a padlock on his fridge to stop people stealing his yoghurts.
Higher value/quality units do have this feature.
