Cost of removals for a 2 up 2 down, 20 miles?

Question:Hello. I am moving soon. Not a big house with not a great deal of furniture. I wonder if anyone has made a similar sized move and knows how much it cost you? All the commercial websites I've looked at need you to fill in lengthy forms before you get a quote. Otherwise I was thinking of hiring a van, any thoughts on that?

Sister moving The 19th and I'm hiring a large (tall) transit van for £10 refundable deposit and £45 cost. It would cost you next to nothing in fuel, so all you need is a bit of muscle (friends).
Could be even cheaper if wanted to risk lying down certain items (fridge freezer etc) but I have further to travel.
P.S don't forget a few beers for the "crew" and sandwiches to keep them going. Really can be done on a shoestring..
