Just got a small 18'x4' above pool.How can I tell if the ground is level?
Question:Just tryed to fill my pool but the water started to get deeper on one side.The ground looked level but it is not.I need an easy way to tell if there is another spot in my yard that is level enough.Anyone know what tools I need to do that? Thanks

A few wooden stakes, a string level and a measuring tape. Measure out 20 feet and place a stake at each end. Tie a string to one stake and pull it tight at the other stake. Hang the level on the string and adjust until it is level. Then measure to the ground. You should have a sand base under the pool though. Another thing I would advise is to put roofing felt under the sand to prevent weeds from growing through and into the liner.
Find a some wood or something that is ten feet long and wide if you have something like that. Any eight foot by four foot sheet of plywood or pressed board would do.
Something that is as flat and straight as possible. Lay it down on the ground and drop some marbles on it and see if they roll off or down hill in any direction from all points of the wood.
You and the children could have great fun with the effects and can learn a few things about leveling your property the old fashion way. Taking the lawn up and digging under it then putting the lawn back down.
That is; before you decide to have an expert do the job of leveling your yard.
