Anbody out there with input on purchasing a duel fuel oven?

Question:I'm thinking about getting one but can't find anyone with experience with one. Right now I just have an electric range. I cook and bake a lot so that's why I'm leaning towards one. Anyone with experience, good or bad, would be helpful.

Answers:
I have a Jen-Air range that has a gas cook top and an electric oven. Its the best of both worlds with fine control on the surface burners and more consistent heat in the oven.

Now that I've used on of these, I don't think I could go back to a single fuel model. I highly recommend going in that direction.

Absolutely any chef will tell you that you will always have the best results from a gas cooktop and an electric oven. The electric oven will always consistently produce a better product and the gas burners, that's the way to go. Just be sure to check out your manufacturer. Also, on the gas burners, be SURE they're sealed burners which are cleaned easily. On the electric ovens, look for the concealed element. That also makes for a much easier cleaning. Good luck!
