Not sure what you want to do. Do you want to illuminate ants or eliminate ants? If it's the former, you can do it with flashlights or other portable lighting devices. If it's the latter, you'll want to use some poison. The more toxic, the more effective. Also find out where the ants are coming from and seal up their entrance with expanding foam.
I would use boric acid. I have used to before and It worked for me. Just sprinkle some around your foundation and that should work. If it rains you'll have to do it again.
