Do cantalopes take up alot of room?

Question:my friend and i went flower shopping and we decided to buy a bunch of fruit and we dont have alot of room

Answers:
Cantaloupe plants are vines that love to climb. If you give the cantaloupes something to grow on, like a fence or a trellis it will actually do much better than spreading out on the ground.

yes they do actually. they are melons and grow on vines and spread out alot, you can try staking them but thye really do like to sprawl. you didn't say if you were going to put them in the ground or in pots. I tried watermelons one year and they were so outrageously big they got in the way of everything else in my garden. So plan accordingly
