Answers:
regrout the tiles using antifungal grout.
bleach
you can buy an all purpose cleaner with bleach, or make your own... just bleach dilutted with water, put in a spray bottle... spray and let it set... the mold/mildew will disappear before your eyes. make sure there is plenty of ventilation, and rinse well...!
put on a pair of rubber gloves and some bleach and a scrub brush and it should remove easily
you can use bleach or tilex.or anything in that aisle at the store basically. i used tilex and it worked perfectly.
Like other people said, bleach. However you should dilute it, don't use it full strength.
i find an anti fungicidal /mould solution works better than bleach.
don't know why - there must be different chemicals in them i guess.
Tilex (tm) Tilex is the only thing I know that removes mold. Bleach works but something about Tilex works better.
Tilex Mildew Root and Penetrant, in the blue bottle, is fantastic. It's easy and no scrubbing.
give it a good scrub with jiff and a nail brush then wash off then neat bleach it leave for about 20 mins should come off great
dude! a far easier way!
Just use a steam cleaner! they're great for bathroom tiles!!
add some bleach or whatever you want to clean with to the water, and steam away!
If this is mildew then Bleach is good and cheap.if this is black mold as in eating the sheetrock DEMOLITION / Remodel the stuff can make you VERY sick
use wter with blleach, a cup of bleach per gallon of water should be fine.
Hi I have done mold Inspections and consulting for 18 years now. The Capital Records round tower in Hollywood was one I did about 17 years ago.
You should go to the hardware store and buy a half face respirator that has a combo filter HEPA and Gases. HEPA stands for high efficiency Particulate Air filter. The gas filter should filter acid, chorine, etc.
You may also want to wear swim goggles; this will eliminate eye irritation from the chorine.
Then get a 1 to 5 gallon bucker fill it with warm water and add 1-2 cups per gallon of water.
Use a heavy duty nylon scrub brush, dip it into the chlorine water mixture and scrub the areas of concern.
After you finish, be sure to check for cracks in the tiles or grout. Any cracks may have caused the mold to enter the wall. For now you may wish to choose the cheap way and just seal any cracks or small holes. Use bathroom caulking on tiles and grout. Or you can add new grout to cracks in the grout. This will look better.
If the mold continues to get through the wall and builds up fast in the shower, then you may need to open up the wall and do the same type of cleaning inside the wall. Then let it dry out before you close it up and retile etc. Throw away any damaged/ moldy drywall if you do open up the wall to fix it for a more permanent fix.
Also check how water could have gotten behind the wall and fix same.
Mix 1 part chlorine bleach and 9 parts chlorine bleach. put on rubber gloves and wash carefully. let the solution soak into the tiles. then wipe off with clean water.
bleach neat with an old electric toothbrush or fairy power spray works for me.
Bleach (50/50 dilution with water) & baking soda mix - spread on with an old toothbrush
But be sure to wear gloves & goggles as its powerfull stuff (and leave the windows open)
Brush off again & it gets rid of the last stubborn bits!
white vinager dilute 50/50 with water and spray on leave for a few mins but don't let it dry then scrub with a brush, Rinse and repeat until all clean.
use denture cream and leave it on for three mins
