Getting rid of Maybugs ?

Question:Currently we have every evening from 4 - 9 Maybugs coming out of our chimney into our living room
Now I could live with 1 or 2 but all evening these things are flying into the lounge and generally getting quite annoying now
Is there anything we can do to stop them a) coming down the chimney or b) coming into the lounge

I thought about lighting a fire in the fireplace at dusk when they come down to smoke them out (I know you bug lovers will hate me for that though)
Or a bowl of water at the bottom of the chimney so when they fall down they land in the water and we can throw them outside

Any ideas ??

I think the fire is a good idea. They will go back the way they came!
Poor old bugs. They are rather hefty though, not sure I'd want to share an evening with quite so many of them!
