Can I pay someone to move a peice of furniture upstairs?
Question:I have bought a heavy and awkward wardrobe and need to move it up my narrow stairwell...it could do with professionals and maybe ropes and pullies or something...I've been searching for professional furniture movers, but can only find removals, rather than a service that will move one peice of furniture within your home. Anyone heard of such a service? I live in Berkshire...
Answers:
Yes, any removal company will do that for you.
.
Contact the british removals association (BAR), link below.
Send them an email and they will send you a list of suitable companies near you.
Try calling the furniture stores, sometimes they use private movers who are usually willing to help you move your furniture just around the house. This is what I did, and they picked up from several locations, and also placed my furniture. Hope this helps.
A professional removal firm will do this for you - they will use the proper equipment too.
You can pay any one to do any thing nowadays,Just make sure the price is right.
