What is a non profit housing corporation?

Non-profit means that the corporation does not intend to make a profit. The people that work for the corporation can be paid, but the owners do not receive any money just because they own part of it.

A non-profit housing corporation usually gets money from the government to build apartments or houses to be rented. Because of the money from the government, they charge less rent to people with low incomes.
