What is this stuff in my pool?

Question:Our pool is a salt system, it's registering fine on salt, chlorine, acid, etc... the spa area is raised above the pool and flows into the pool when the filter is on. We've noticed lately that there is a sediment settling in the spa, looks like little white flakes when the water gets stirred up. Is it from the salt? Maybe from hard water? We vacuum it out, but then it just comes back, I'm thinking it's in the pipes, maybe settled in there ... any ideas on how to make it go away?

Answers:
Two things to try:

1) Vacuum on waste. The debris may be getting back into your pool.

2) Check the grade of the salt you are purchasing. You cannot use construction grade salt. It must be from a pool store.

You must first ask yourself if this pool was built on an Inidan burial ground. Have you ever seen Poltergeist? Remember when that happened in that movie - quite similar circumstances really. Move out before Carrol Ann starts talking to the TV.
