How do I get simple jobs done?

Question:I'm new to Toronto. Sometimes I just need to look for people to do simple things (like handyman, baby sitting, mowing lawn). How do you guys find these people? Internet? Newspaper? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
