You just killed a mommy wolf spider and her babies and they are harmless. They are beneficial spiders and eat the buggers you would probably not want around. True, they can get very big, but they are also the most timid of spiders and will run like hell to get away from you. Anyhow, in the future you might try to lead it away instead of killing it or them. They can't hurt you.

Sounds like alot of spiders to me. Many female spiders carry their young in their abdomen and have them via live birth rather than laying an egg sack and it hatching. You popped the abdomen, so they came out. YUK!

Next time you see one all swollen up like that.kill it with the Raid instead of squishing it. That way you get mother and babies together with no escapes!
