Why all of a sudden are there so many roaches?
Question:Okay, my house is clean. I live in south florida, and once in a while we see american cockroaches [palmetto bugs] they are common here, but today [at 3 am this morning to be exact] i have seen and killed 4 of them and on small spider.
I want to know what the heck is making them come out all of a sudden. I dont know if it is because it is night time but its freaking me out >_<
And what is the best way to prevent more from coming? Should i get one of those bombers?

Walmart sells a Yellow Powder(Garden Section) that you put in the corners of your Rooms and on window sills and doorways. It will do the Job...
Hi Chris
My house is immaculate. I am in Sydney and am in the middle of winter but have noticed a cockroach. It has been particularly wet this June in Sydney. What about Florida ?
I would regularly change the cockroach baits that one buys at the supermarket. I place them at all entrance points, in the garage, and especially wet warm areas such as the laundry.

First bomb the place using one in each room, even put a few in the attic. Be sure to turn off any pilot lights, the fridge and the a/c. Get Combat Baits they really do work. Next go buy some caking and foam insulation in the can. It expands as it dries and forms a airtight seal. Go around and seal up any holes and cracks that you see around the pipes, baseboards and anywhere you think they may be getting in. Also make sure your doors and windows has a good weather seal. If you can see light during the day it does not. Also spry the yard with Ortho lawn and garden spray that attaches to you hose.
This may seem like drastic measures, but once you do it your roach problem will be gone for a long time if not for good.
I'm in Ga - they're coming in now b/c of 1) lack of rain, or 2) lots of rain! It's either really dry or really wet here - and they come in my house b/c of either. In the evening, they will walk through the front door like they own the place! They love to live in covered ground, and we have mulch and pinestraw around our house. They LOVE these. Also, we have a big front porch, and they love to live under those. So we're screwed! I'm tempted to throw a bomb under the porch, but I don't know how I'd get it back out! It's gotten to the point where I can't even have friends over to sit outside in the evenings. They come through the porch cracks and crawl all over the walls of the house, like a bad movie.it's embarrassing!
If you saw four, you probably have 104 breeding somewhere.
You need to bomb the house with fogger cans in each room. They lay tons of eggs, then feed on anything and everything! They eat wood, paper, foodstuffs, you name it. They endured what the dinosaurs didn't...
I don't know why you have more - they must be reproducing or coming in somewhere. I have found that Boric Acid powder from the hardward store, spread in small amounts around the house (food areas, etc.) was marvellously effective. It got rid of them for ever in quite a short time..
