i sold jewelry for a while and its hard work you have to work your business everyday and get out and get people to host parties and invite people, and really break out of your normal thing to get it started, you need to know people who know people if you know what i mean in order to get a good start, and you have to be open for parties all the time and tell people when your out about your product and how they can own it and all the insentives that go along with it. you also kinda gotta live in the right area too(that was my problem) i live in rural central southern illinois with a low income rate and a high unemployment rate too so thats why i got out of it, but you can do it if you work hard at it and are not afraind to step out of your comfort zone and walk right up to people and say hey you look like you would make a great hostess for a jewelry show or how would you like to get $____ worth of free product. good luck if you decide to do it, its hard work, sometimes harder than a real job
I had tried both Mary Kay and Tupperware in the past, but it just wasn't for me. I gave up on them years ago.
I got started with Mia Bella Candles a few months ago and now I'm in love with the product. I burn candles quite frequently in my home, and they were leaving soot all over my walls and furnishings. My husband was about to outlaw all candles when a friend gave me four of the Mia Bella votives. I fell in love! They're made of a soy/vegetable base that burns practically soot-free, and the fragrance just has to be experienced. I signed up that week for the Candle of the Month delivery just so I'd always have new fragrances coming in. What I didn't realize at the time was that the CotM program automatically made me a distributor, but I soon took advantage of that when friends started asking where I'd gotten the fabulous candles. Now I'm making an excellent part-time income doing something I thoroughly enjoy -- working with scented candles.
The great things about scented candles are that just about everyone you know loves them and people have to buy them frequently because they're a usable product. And the really great thing about our candles is the soy/vegetable base. Most candles are petroleum based, and you know where we are with that right now. Our candles are made in America from products produced by American farmers, so using them provides income to several fellow Americans. How wonderful is that?

Good luck!
