Is this a good way to kill rats?
Question:i heard this story about how to kill a lot of rats:
...capture about 5 or 6 of them
-put them in a barrel together
-leave for about a week
-after that there will be one surviving rat, who will have killed and eaten all the others
-this rat is a 'superrat' who is now a canibal
-release the rat and he will kill all the rats in the vicinity
...does this sound like a plausible/ practical solution?

Hmmmmm. A superrat. Scarey stuff. Go with rat poison.Dont want a giant, well hard rat running around.. But its plausable, i wouldnt say practical.
it's plausible...but i think rat poison would be quicker and more effective
do u really want a 'super-rat' running round your houuse??. Sounds cruel anyway. If u hav 2 kill 'em- do it humanely. :)
No, I think rats prefer to eat things that are already dead. So the one surviving rat probably just ate the others after they starved to death.

Rat poison works wonders. I once had rats in my outside shed and I used rat poison, it killed them.

I have never heard of such a thing the rat eats the others because that's the only food source they have. When they get out they go back to eating what they can get. They will not risk injury fighting when they don`t have to. Get a professional in. Rat poison does not work straight away and they crawl into nooks and crannies to die. You may not find them until you smell them. And another thing if it is a "super rat" it`s gonna breed and make a family of super rats.
rat poision kills all rats ... just rebember to leave out some water as this makes it work faster
