Will carpenter ants or bees eat treated wood?

Question:I have front and back decks made of treated lumber and was wondering. I saw some ants out there earlier.

Answers:
Carpenter Bees, or as they are more commnly know, Borer Bees will not eat treated or painted wood. Check out the web sit listed.

Yes! Boarbees will destroy just about any kind of wood.
No the treatment is poisin to bugs. The big bumble bees usually drill holes in new lumber,
but not in treated . Good Luck.
Don't know about the ants but I know the bees will. My father is dealing with them now.
Not supposed to but those big bees seem determined to drill holes in it anyway. I send out the kids with badminton rackets and they swat bees into little square bits that the dog likes to eat.
