Air-conditioning Unit, Window type VS Split Type?
Question:Can you share your views on the advantage and disadvantage between a window type and a split type airconditioning unit of same capacity.
What I do know is the split type is more expensive.

I think the split is more effecient too.
We like the window ACs becuase they were cheaper to buy and we are less likely to use them all the time. Everyday we think about if we should turn it on .
With central AC, I think we would turn it one and leave it on all summer.
Split unit wins hands down although more expensive. Quieter and more ergonomic. Plus factor is the outside unit can be located further away so as to minimise compressor sound which can be quite intrusive in a window.
