Maggots coming out from behind old skirting boards?

Question:we decided to start the decorating by removing all the old skirting boards yesterday, then when i got up this morning and started to tidy up from the day b4, and noticed white maggots coming out from small holes where the skirting boards used to be,(some alive and others motion less) this makes me feel sick and dirty, we are very clean ppl which makes it worse. Also we havnt had any flies this year round so i cant understant why they are there(also no bins or rubbish in or outside the house and the bin area is about 6 meteres away). Any one have any tips in killing these things. Thanks

First of all--maggot is a broad term.It is used to describe the larval stage of an insect, usually flies.

With this being said, the "maggots" could be beetle, fly, moth etc larvae.

Spray windex on them this will kill them almost instantly.

Make sure you take a sample and save it, bring it to your local university extenstion office. They will be able to id the "nmaggot" and give you some tips on prevention and treatment.

There may be a dead mouse or somesuch jammed in there, and flies have laid eggs in it. They laid dormant and the warmer weather has made them wake up.
Maggots indicate tha there'e is something decomposing nearby. You need to find out what and where it is to make the maggots disappear.
There may have been a dead mouse behind the skirting board and it only takes one fly to lay a batch of about 100 eggs which , of course, turn into maggots. You need hot soapy water with plenty of bleach in it and that should get rid of them but do try and find out why the maggots are there in the first place.
Well you either have a dead mouse or other varmint offering a feast to the buggers or you got termites. I suggest you call a pest control expert to determine which. If its termites, stop them early or else...well lets say that gets expensive
Termite lava? Uggg sounds like you really need to get professional opinion. If it is termites you may have a major problem on your hands.
maybe not fly maggots you would need to phone enviromental health out it could be a dead mouse they are living off of even the cleanest of houses can get bugs or they could be eating the foundations of your home phone pest control if they living in your wall cavities thats not a good sign
you must have a dead mouse or rat some were
under the floor boards?
Ask the council health dept to check it for you.
I am glad its your house not mine. You will have to pull the place the bits to see whats causing them.
