Is it normal to pay a removal company a full before week before the work is undertaken?

Question:

Answers:
I never pay in full up front I have paid front 25 to 50 % and get a receipt. It gives you a better chance of getting the job done on time . If your have to go to court for work not done at least You will not be out all your money

NO, do not pay in full untill the job is done!
I don't know what you are removing, but I don't pay anybody ahead of work being done. Once paid you not be important to them. Offer to pay quickly once work is complete.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY $$$ UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETED!!!
there may be more work than they plan on, on first sight, pay 10-25% then the rest at the end.
This is the usual custom in Florida (for some reason these individuals are either really busy or just lazy). But, recently while cleaning out my father's home in NY a gentleman came and did a bunch of work a week before he even contacted my uncle for payment. I was in shock! I can give you the company name if your interested. He is tops in my book!
Sounds like a ripoff to me.
never, never, never pay till the job is done!!!!
