Answers:
What you need to do is go outside with some outdoor silicone caulking and caulk around all of the lines that go into your house, water line, gas line, central air units, around windows, etc. Something was not sealed up and they are coming in. Or your house has settled and it needs to be reapplied.

Ahhh, ants. I'm sure many people will have more thorough answers than me, but here goes.

Usually, the ants are coming in through one or two distinct locations. What you should do is set aside some time to find the hole. Find an ant, and quietly watch it and follow it as it moves through your house (this can take a while ). It should, eventually, exit your house through the hole that the ants are coming in through. Once you find the hole, depending on what surface it on ( dry wall, window, door frame ) you can take the necessary measures to close the hole and hopefully stop the little ants from geting back in.
Have u tried the ants-chalk?

I juts try to find were do they get into the house and draw a line with the chalk

It worked for me
1. Make sure there is no food left out
2. Caulk all of the openings, around the doors, AC, etc.
3. Get Raid spray for ants and spray inside and outside every other week until they go away. I had the same problem and the granules do not work.
I've had the same problem. Ants will find the tiniest openings to enter through. Like some of the others have said, calking everything up is the first step. I found that using Ortho Home-Defense spray work really well. I've used it the last few years and haven't had any problems with ants. You spray it along your entire foundation outside. It dries invisible and lasts for months. For whatever reason, the ants won't cross over the invisible barrier. I usually apply it once in the spring and once sometime in the summer. It's not that expensive either.
Go to lowes and buy some triazicide and get a spreader and put it on your lawn around your house or call a pest control company if that doesn't work. Try to figure out where they are entering and lay glue traps and bait all around that area. I don't recommend bait if you have children though.
Terro works great. Put a little on a piece of cardboard where you see the majority of them. They bring it back to their nest and it gets rid of all of them. Keep away from pets.
