I can't get a price sticker off without leaving behind a sticky residue. How do you get it all off?
Question:This happens usually when the sticker has been stuck on for a long time.

I find tea tree oil works wonder or Goo_off from hardware stores works great ♥
if glass, metal or plastic, try WD40
alcohol or olive oil
depending on what you need to take it off of.

depending on what you are trying to get it off, if its something hard and unmeltable i would use a hairdryer? anyways if you already tried to get it off and are left with the sticky residue use tea tree oil, it works amazingly.
Methylated spirits usually gets the residue off most price tags and scan barcodes.
It won't harm most surfaces , but, some plastics may be affected by it.
Run it under HOT water. Unless it's like paper or something... then maybe get hot water on a paper towel or regular towel and rub it off.

Brasso works a treat. Just rub it on, then clean it off.
I use scotch tape. Apply a piece of tape on the price tag making sure you hold onto one corner of the tape. Press and rub softly across the price tag THEN pull. If you need to repeat do so until you remove the tag. Every gift I give always is clean of any traces if pricing. Christmas is a Breeze!
