Will bugs set off a motion-activated security light?

Question:I live on a river, so there are a ton of bugs!

Answers:
Anything that clouds the eye of the sensor will set off the sensor.
Passive infer red detects movement and heat.

So if the cloud of bugs is big enough yes.
But a squirrel in your yard NO.
Kind of confusing but that is how it works.
Even though the bugs are cold blooded, enough will trigger it. Even though the squirrel is warm blooded, it is too small.
You, a dog, an ex-husband, Oh Wait those are cold blooded. The ex, not the dog!

Most of those sensors are set to ignore small animals like cats and small dogs. I'd hate to think of the swarm you'd need to set off the sensor....ick.
Hello :)

I don't think so but I don't know for sure. I think some of it depends on how sensitively you have the lights set.
