Heated underblanket?
Question:Any advice or comments on those? I checked Argos and apparently there are those from Winterwarm and Dreamland... which i'm not sure how they work and those electric ones which are slightly cheaper but since they're electric, i'm just wondering if i shud worry about their safety, or has there been any known incident with them?
Answers:
Ideally under blankets should be turned off when you get into bed, although there are some on the market that you can leave on all night. These usually have multiple heat settings. Do not go for the cheap ones as these are more likely to develop faults and do not last long. Dreamland is a make I would recommend. Winter warm do a good one. It is a fitted all night under blanket with overheat protection. If you buy a double have a duel heat one (they have separate controls for each side of the bed)
My mum left hers on and was poached.
There are those who have been fried because they fell asleep with them on, I'd rather have an overblanket.
I maybe old fashioned but I still use hot water bottles with covers. costs a lot less and still warms the bed and more ece-friendly
I've had a couple of them. I don't think they last as long as a blanket. I also prefer the warmth on me rather than under me.
Emma. No underblaket. OK?
Get a hot boyfriend instead....
I prefer a top electric blanket and now you don`t even have to mess with the dial it goes with your body heat! Seems alot better then a heated underblanket!
I hate these things.no one will convince me they are safe. Try buying a fleece mattress cover and 2 hot water bottles.safer, cheaper.
