What is the most efficient method of getting rid of gophers?
Question:I have a continuing problem with gophers in my lawn area. i have tried poison, water and gas. Nothing seems to work for any extened period of time.
Does anyone know a foolproof methed that is not too expensive?
Answers:
DeCon mixed with peanut butter.
The drawback is that all other animals seem to find this to be very tasty also. Squirrels, dogs, cats, deer, CHILDREN, ect. You need to give a lot of thought where you place the bait.
Di-ethylene Glycol (anti-freeze/Decon) is a very effective and (supposedly good tasting) poison. A couple of applications should clear up the problem.
I know you've mentioned poisoning to no effect, but try mixing with PB. Otherwise, take up falconry with a large raptor, it will be expensive but fun ! LOL
Not sure if this works but I remember when I was little my friends dad doing this. He would hook up the vacuum cleaner hose to the car's tailpipe and put the other end down into a gopher hole. Sometimes the gophers would come out and the his dog would kill them.
