Answers:
yeah just clean it with some clean soap !

of course lol
Yes, and gritty too.
my cat Tufty, eats soap!
Yes, have you never seen a bar of soap after someone with muddy hands has used it?
just think about what the last thing you wash when you bathe and what the first thing you wash when you next bathe
You can find this at almost any public restroom. Thats why so many went to soap dispensers.
yes, i work with a construction company, putting new kitchens bathrooms in council houses. you see all sorts, one guy's house was so filthy his soap had mould on it!!
if you drop it on the floor any bits will stick to it, or if your hands are really dirty you have to wash the bar of soap to get it clean again!

However if you have liquid soap that's in a bottle that should never become dirty!! (another money making tip from Macdonalds ha ha)
Unfortantely bars of soap can, dirty ,gritty and stained. But liquid soap in a bottle is less liable to.
Soap can become contaminated with almost anything. Unless it has become contaminated with something that will break down the soap it should still "work". It may look bad and should most likely be"cleaned" and be debris free before use.
