What does it mean when the leaves on your plants are going yellow?

Question:

Answers:
It means that the leaves are dying. That could be natural or it could be a problem. What kind of plant is it, What is the climate or seaon, etc, etc. Know what I mean? You need to provide more info.
Reading the other responses, well maybe it's too little water, maybe it's a ginger plant etc.

TOO MUCH WATERING!! THATS WHAT IT MEANS..AND MAKE SURE THERE IS SUFFICENT SUNLIGHT ...THE PROPER AMOUNT FOR THE TYPE OF PLANTS..
It could be too much water or not enough. I've experienced both.
This is almost always too much water. If this is a plant in a container, make sure the plant has good drainage, and don't let it sit in water for more than an hour after watering. If it's outdoors, then you may want to consider mixing amendments into your soil to loosen it and allow water to drain more quickly.
