Box Elder Bug Boom?

Question:I live up in Wyoming, and we usually don't see these guys until late summer to early fall. But this last week, they have been going nuts! They are crawling all over our house and are now invading it as well.

Why is this happening this early in the year, and what can we do to stop it?

Answers:
I don't know why the bugs are getting such an early start this year, but I did find some interesting information on the web that may be of interest to you.
The first site begins with a question from someone in Wyoming. I found the answer offered by following the link on that page was interesting because it offers a recommendation of an alternate tree choice.
That site is:
http://www.tree-care.info/oldaaa/posts/1...
Another site with a lot of information, some of it concerning box elder bugs is at:

I hope this information helps you--good luck!
