I want to put in a "stepped" walkway leading to my deck instead of the inclined path I now have.?

Question:I want to use the 12" concrete squares using 4 to a step. Should I start at the top or the bottom and how many inches up per step? I was thinking 2 or 3. Can anyway help me?

Answers:
You should measure the difference in elevation between the top and bottom of the walkway. Play around with dividing different step heights until you get something reasonably close to the height that will divide into the elevation equally so that each step is the same height.
