Is private rooms or double rooms better in college while staying on campus?

Question:i am going to Unt ..which is better: single room or double
for single room: one other person will be also sharing my bathroom...for double room: 3 other people will be sharing my bathroom

Answers:
Roomates can be an absolute blessing or your worst nightmare. If you know someone going there that you would/could live with then that would be great. I was lucky enough to get a roomate (who I had never met before) that was awesome and we were the best of friends. My sister however, has a roomate from h*ll. She is completely obnoxios and a slob. If you could live with someone like that and not care, then it is definitely a risk worth taking. If you are not an easy going person and you are picky about the way things are then you should probably get a room to yourself and just make friends with your neighbors.

I'd recommend sharing a room for your first year ... it's like a rite of passage and you'll either end up with a great friend or crazy stories to tell for years to come. I think it's part of the fun of living on campus!
College is about learning to live/work/experience life with other people. Go for the double. Singles don't give you the same social experience and aren't worth the extra $$. I lived in a triple and it was great. If you don't like the double you can always get the single next semester.
private rooms is better for you.
having a roommate gives you someone else to blame when the room is a mess.the possibilities are endless on what you can blame your roomy on.
