Roots by house causing water intrusion?

Question:im trying to find a web site that will advise me on root systems, the bushes by the house hold extream amounts of water and assist in flooding the basement. i want plants by my house but with small root system, LOOKING FOR WEB SITE. thanks. also would not mind web site for landscaping that keeps water away from house
