Indoor Fountain~~~larva?

Question:We have an indoor fountain in our entry. We are coming up on one year in our new house and had no idea on the care that a fountain takes. Since Spring has begun I've had to try and kill misqueto larva (I think that's what it is). I've drained it, tried bleach, pet friendly chemilcals (we have two dogs, and two cats), today I tried vinger. Any idea would be helpfull to kill these little swimmer's and won't harm my animals would be greatful??

Answers:
You could try adding salt to the water. There is also something called mosquito dunks which are cakes you put in the water. I'm not sure about the pets with this one though.
