What's the best way to clear up a cloudy swimming pool ?
Question:
Answers:
It depends on what's causing the cloudy water. It can be caused by many different things from algae, low chlorine, off balance water, calcium precipitation, metals, etc. All of them require different means to fix them.
Get a water test done, a full spectrum analysis. This will require you to take a sample of your water down to the local pool store. Ask them to test for free chlorine, total chlorine, combined chlorine, pH, alkalinity, hardness, cyanuric acid, total dissolved solids, metals (manganese, iron, copper, etc), nitrites/nitrates, and phosphates. Post the results back here or email them to me at robandliz1992@yahoo.com (please include a link back to this question) and I will help you interpret the water analysis and take you step by step through the actions to clear up your water.
lotsa chlorine and then ph minus
Test the water. There are several things that can cause cloudy water. Chemical imbalance, dirty filter, rain water etc.
To clear up water after it's balanced, there are several good water clarifiers on the market. Most are chemically the same. Read the label and follow instructions.
When my pool gets cloudy I change the filter then jump on in and mop the floor. When you mop the floor it moves all of the particles that makes the cloudiness and then they get collected in the filter. While the water is still moving clean it was a cleaning net and get some of the dirt and bugs out. Also you might what to check into pool chlorine tablets. It is the best way to put chlorine in your water to make it crystal clear. It is also easy to tell when you need to change the tablets because it defuses. . Hope this helps you clean your pool!!

If your water is just a little cloudy you need clarifer. It will kill the tiny particals that your filter misses. When these partical are killed they fall to the bottom of the pool and can then be vacuumed
