All the green on my bonsai tree are super brittle is there anything i can do to bring it back.?

Question:I had my bonsai on my desk with a desk lamp right over it, I noticed one day that the branches were all so brittle that i could break them off just by touching them. I immediatly took it away from the light but it doesn't seem to have grown any new leaves or branches in a while. Should i trim the brittle branches off or leave it be. I did water it a little every day like the instructions told me to.

Answers:
You can cut back certain branches and see if it has any life in it(Any green wood) but from the sound of it I'd say it was dead. Though you didn't tell me the name I would assume it was a Juniper? If not there may be a chance it's alive .a slim one mind you. Sorry.
